Got a new badge from fitbit today. Made me feel great, especially since my steps have been low while my knee heals.

Connecting Fitbit
I've been using my fitbit with Earndit for sometime. Last night I found out that I can also connect my fitbit with Walgreens and earn some extra points, also FitStudio through Sears. I like earning extra points for what I'm trying to do anyway.
And badges. I like getting extra badges.

Through FitStudio I've earned 825 points which translates into about 82 cents. It's like getting a coupon for just staying active.

Me - Elsewhere
I'm working at getting back on track. It's hard. I stumbled in my exercise program and getting my mind back in gear is harder than my body.
I've been doing ok, but not as much as I could. Today I read a very moving post
Sean put his information for facebook, my fitness pal & twitter on there. It's good to have support and for me it's good to be accountable.
My mini goal for the next week is to sign into my fitness pal and log my food/water/exercise every day. I already use fitbit to track my general movements, but I do need to track my actual exercise. If I don't have to write it down, sometimes it's easy to skip.
A little goal but it keeps my accountable. I'm also going to start back with My Daily Mile - that's next week though. One thing at a time.
So me in other places. Add me if you're so inclined.

25 Floors
Earned my badge for 25 floors, though I've noticed I'm not getting emails from fitbit about such things anymore. Not sure why. Hopefully they will start sending them again. I had to do a search to find this graphic to share.
If you're on fitbit- add me
Floors - Finally
The stairs in my house are too short to count as a floor. I live in a split level, so there are only 7 or so stairs between the living room and the upstairs. It's not the 10ft difference my fitbit needs for me to get a floor counted. The distance from the garage to the living room isn't enough either. Same with from the basement to the garage.
So get my floor counted I have to start from the basement and go all the way to the bedroom level. WITHOUT too much pausing coming from the garage door into the living room. That's where the hangup was. And when I get to the top I still need like an inch (I guess) because unless i give it a little hop the floor still won't get counted.
Add the dogs in as an obstacle and it can be kind of a challenge. Challenges aren't bad though. :-)
Yesterday I alternated between the needlework, stationary bike & doing two floors. I am working on a toddler dress that is composed of little squares so I would make two, do two miles on the bike, make two, do two floors. I had a lot of errands to run in the afternoon, so I didn't get more than my 10 floors in and only 12 miles. My goal for today is 25 floors because I want that next badge. I like my badges. I also need my first lifetime floors badge. Closing in on 750 miles too.

Lots of "sleep"
I'm still getting used to the tracking sleep aspect of my new fitbit. The old fitbit zip didn't do that. Today I forgot to turn off the sleep mode. I woke up at 6:30, but didn't get it turned off until almost 12:30. Guess I got a lot of very restless sleep. LOL I know it will say I had periods of being awake, but since I was also knitting, I had period of not moving where it thought I was asleep. :-)
Today I am doing short bursts of exercise. I have the house to myself and I really want to finish a couple of projects - like the vest I have been working on. I also don't want to spend too much time sitting. I read about a woman who ran a marathon while knitting but I can't even stand and crochet, so exercising while creating probably won't work for me. My solution has been to do a row/round/motif and then spend 1-5 min on the elliptical or bike. Not a lot, but it does keep the blood pumping. Later tonight I will dedicate an hour to just exercise. The little bursts are just to keep me from feeling sluggish. I find it much harder to do the one hour when I've been sitting on my bottom all day.

New Fitbit
I lost my zip in early October. I have really missed it.
yesterday I got a surprise in the mail from my parents.
a new fitbit flex!
I'm very excited to have a fitbit again. Now to begin the slow climb to the top of my friends list! I am making one modification to my resolutions though. Since I have the tracker again I think I will up my miles run/walk to 3000. That does count just daily steps, which account for about 2000, the other 1000 will come from exercise.
