V Stitch Market Bag

Because of my gout I have switched to a vegetarian diet.  I spent a lot of time at farmer's markets before the switch so that's only going to increase.  I've been making tons of market bags.  Some for me, some for friends.  This one was for a friend.  I prefer short handled ones that I put in a cart.  She likes long handles.  The v-stitch is a bit denser than mesh, but still stretchy.

Cotton yarn  I used Bernat Handicrafter that I got for free with my fitbit points from fitstudio.com  the more I move, the more points I get.  :-)

I hook

Ponchlet/Shrug

I finished up the poncho that I was working on.  Decided to make it short, more of a shrug.  I can picture it over a tank top or t-shirt and the shorter length just seemed right to me.  I love love love that yarn.  Caron Spa bamboo blend.  So so soft.    I'm happy with the final result.

I have decided to quit hoarding yarn.  Ok, that's not true.  I have decided to hoard LESS yarn.  Still going to have a ton, but it won't be 2 tons anymore.  I'm doing a major de-stash in my 2nd Etsy shop.  Link should be to the side there if you're looking to adopt some of my lonely babies.  I love owning the yarn, but there comes a point where I have to admit that I'm not going to actually make anything from it, so it's time for it to go someplace where it can be useful.
